The Study Zone provides specialist 11+ preparation and Core Curriculum Boosting built around a clear, multi-year journey. Starting in Year 3, we strengthen KS2 fundamentals to build classroom confidence. In Year 4, we introduce 11+ logic and advanced problem-solving, culminating in our Year 5 ‘Championship Year’ focused on speed, stamina, and exam strategy. Our support continues into Year 6 with dedicated SATs Mastery sessions, ensuring every student reaches their full potential across the Wirral 11+ (GL), St Anselm’s, and Upton Hall pathways.

Our Roadmap to 11+ Success

Year 3: The Launchpad
Don’t wait for gaps to appear. We solidify National Curriculum mastery and arithmetic fluency, ensuring students have the academic “engine” required for the challenges ahead.
Year 4: The Strategic Foundation.
The introduction of 11+ logic. We explicitly teach the “rules” of Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning while establishing the disciplined study habits and exam-ready mindset needed for Year 5.
Year 5: The Championship Year
The final ascent. Following our three-phase program (Complexity, Sprint, and Mock Season), we convert knowledge into points through intensive speed training, stamina building, and full-length simulated exams.

Wirral 11+ (GL Assessment)

The Challenge: High-speed processing and multiple-choice precision.
Our Focus: We master the “GL Logic” required for Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning,

St Anselm’s College (The Standard Format)

The Challenge: Multi-step problem solving and sophisticated literacy.
Our Focus: We bridge the gap to Standard Format Maths, where “showing your working” is vital. We also develop high-level creative writing flair.

Upton Hall FCJ (The Verbal Mastery)

The Challenge: Advanced linguistic ability and technical SPaG.
Our Focus: Intensive preparation for Cloze procedures and complex “Missing Letter” tasks. We focus on “Linguistic Sophistication,” ensuring girls can perform with speed and accuracy.

SATs Mastery

The Challenge: Securing “Greater Depth” (GDS) and secondary school readiness.
Our Focus: Focussing on National Curriculum excellence. We focus on technical SPaG, high-level reading comprehension techniques, maths mastery.

SATs Booster

The Challenge: Identifying and plugging the gaps to pass the Year 6 SATs.
Our Focus: Focussing on National Curriculum Age-Related Expectations (ARE). We focus on SPaG, Reading comprehension and Maths.
